Say, \u00ab\u00a0I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak,<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit\"><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit\">There is a difference of opinion regarding the meaning of the word \u00ab\u00a0Falaq.\u00a0\u00bb However, most scholars believe it refers to morning or dawn. Thus, in this verse, Allah tells us to seek refuge with the Lord of the dawn, that is, Allah Himself.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1566\" src=\"https:\/\/muslimmemo.com\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/12\/sourate-falaq-02-300x105-1.png\" alt=\"sourate-falaq-02-300x105\" width=\"300\" height=\"105\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit\"><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit\">2. against the evil of the beings He has created,<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit\"><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit\">Allah tells us to seek refuge from the evil of what He has created, including Hell, Shaytan (Satan) and other malevolent entities.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1567\" src=\"https:\/\/muslimmemo.com\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/12\/sourate-falaq-03-300x70-1.png\" alt=\"sourate-falaq-03-300x70 (1)\" width=\"300\" height=\"70\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit\"><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit\">3. against the evil of darkness when it deepens,<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit\"><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit\">Allah says that one should seek refuge from the extreme darkness of night. However, as in the first verse, there is a difference of opinion on the meaning of the word \u00ab\u00a0Ghasiq.\u00a0\u00bb Some scholars, such as Ibn Zayd, believe that Ghasiq refers to the setting of the Pleiades star, while others consider Ghasiq to refer to the moon.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1569\" src=\"https:\/\/muslimmemo.com\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/12\/sourate-falaq-04-300x61-1.png\" alt=\"sourate-falaq-04-300x61\" width=\"300\" height=\"61\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit\"><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit\">4. against the evil of those who blow [witches] on knots,<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit\"><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit\">This verse tells us to seek refuge with Allah from the wicked, such as those who practice sorcery and other forms of secret malevolence.
